Is Your Space Suitable for In-Home Newborn Photos?

By Marianna · Golden Art Photography · Updated 2026-10-14

Ask Marianna about your actual space before booking an in-home newborn session. Room layout, available space and access for the photography setup matter more than a guess based on the size of your home. Golden Art brings backdrops, props, wraps and lighting.

Describe the space you have

Explain which room you would like to use and whether furniture limits open floor space. Ask what information Marianna needs to assess the setup. Avoid moving heavy furniture or purchasing equipment before you know what would be helpful.

Discuss the people joining

A baby-only session and family combinations can have different practical needs. Tell Marianna whether parents, siblings or grandparents will be photographed. Also discuss pets, stairs or other access details that could affect bringing equipment into your home.

Compare with the studio option

The Plano studio already has its prepared photography setting. An in-home session lets you remain in familiar surroundings, with an additional $75 setup fee. Travel beyond 15 miles from the studio adds a separate $75 fee. Confirm the address and all applicable charges before deciding.

There is no published one-size-fits-all room measurement on our website. A conversation about your space is more useful than assuming a minimum area or promising that any room will work. The studio remains another option if an at-home setup does not suit your plans.
