Newborn Photo Session Packing Checklist
By Marianna · Golden Art Photography · Updated 2026-10-10
Pack the everyday supplies your baby normally needs, plus the clothes for anyone joining family portraits. Golden Art provides newborn wraps, props and accessories, so you can focus on your baby's comfort instead of assembling a photography setup.
Your practical packing list
- Your usual diaper bag supplies and a change of clothes for your baby.
- Feeding supplies you already use, as appropriate for your family.
- A familiar comfort item, if your baby uses one.
- Outfits for parents and siblings if your chosen collection includes them.
- A personal keepsake only if you have discussed including it with Marianna.
What can stay at home?
You do not need to buy newborn props or wraps for the session. Before purchasing anything special, share your ideas and ask what is available. If a meaningful item matters to your photographs, discuss its size and use beforehand rather than assuming every item will suit a newborn setup.
Check who is being photographed
Simply Baby is baby-only. The Family Story and Deluxe Newborn Experience include parents, siblings and grandparents. That choice determines which family outfits you need. Lay everything together the day before, and choose clothes that let you hold and comfort your baby easily.
A useful final check is whether your bag supports your family's normal routine. There is no need to change that routine for photographs. The experience is baby-led, with time for feeding and soothing.
